DJ Linux is a bootable-CD platform for DJ's and audio enthusiasts. Our aim is to create a bootable CDROM, based on Debian GNU/Linux, that will allow a DJ to stream live audio over the internet, hook into a component stereo system, play audio CD's, play CD's off of a windows network or local harddrive, and perform live mixing/sampling - all without installing a single bit of software. DJ Linux is licensed under the GNU GPL, and will be opensource - feel free to subscribe to the list, and help out! We're still in early R&D, but we've already got a cd-image that's bootable!

LDJ was started in May of 2002, and was based off the need of a friend to do webcasting - without being able to install software. Or something like that, we really need to flesh this out -a
